About The Course

Personnel responsible for accepting passenger and crew baggage, managing aircraft boarding areas and other functions involving direct passenger contact at an airport.

Course Objective

To provide participants with a thorough understanding of how dangerous goods are shipped safely by air commensurate with their responsibilities.

Course Content

1) Understanding the basics of dangerous goods

  • Recognizing dangerous goods applicability

  • Understanding the general limitations

  • Identifying roles and responsibilities

  • Understanding the importance of classification & packaging

  • Understanding hazard communication

  • Familiarizing with basic Emergency Response


2) Accepting passenger and crew baggage

  • Process baggage

  • Accept baggage


3) Collecting safety data

  • Report dangerous goods accidents

  • Report dangerous goods incidents

  • Report undeclared/mis-declared dangerous goods

  • Report dangerous goods occurrences



Duration: 1 Day (7 hours)


  • Working knowledge of English language (Read, Write, Speak)

  • Basic concepts of mathematics

Exam & Certification


    • GCAA Certificate is awarded upon successful.

    • Completion of the course and an assessment. (Passing 80%).
