International Maritime Dangerous Goods Training (IMDG)
About Course
The course is an international guideline to the safe transportation or shipment of dangerous goods or hazardous materials by water on a vessel. IMDG Code is intended to protect crew members and to prevent marine pollution in the safe transportation of hazardous materials by vessel. It is recommended to governments for adoption or for use as the basis for national regulations.

Introduction to the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Regulations: (UN, IMO, NTA UAE)

Legal implications and penalties for violations

The role of the Shipping lines, freight forwarders, ports, harbours, and stevedores, training required of applicable personnel, passenger and cargo customer information

Process flow for cargo shipments, and normal conditions of sea transportation

Using the current IMDG Code Books volumes 1–2 and Supplement

An overview of the State, Port, Harbor, Operator Variations, and requirements of the UAE Regulations

Definition of terms, Description of Dangerous Goods

Hazard Classes, Divisions, Compatibility Groups

Identification by UN Number and by Proper Shipping Name

Mixtures and Solutions with Single or Multiple Hazards

Packaging Requirements and Quantity Limitations, Limited Quantity, Excepted Quantity, and Over packs
