IATA Cargo Security Awareness

About The Course

Build necessary awareness regarding air cargo security and understand applicable regulations, latest concepts and basic principles of security in cargo environment. This training may be used as a foundation for personnel who have to execute cargo security functions.

This course is recommended for:

  • All personnel involved in air cargo transport chain

  • Staff working in companies under regulated agent regime

  • Freight forwarders personnel operating in the field of air transport

  • Those required to undergo an Security Awareness course before obtaining an airport access ID

Course Exam & Certification


  • Exam Method: Online exam with remote supervision by IATA

  • Exam Format: Multiple choice questions, closed textbook

  • Number of questions: 60

  • Time Allowance: 3 hours

  • Passing Grade: 60% correct answers

  • Distinction Grade: 90% correct answers

  • Number of Exam Attempts: 2


Certifications


Participants who successfully pass the final exam will be awarded:

  • IATA & KHDA Certificates are awarded to participants successfully passing the final exam.

  • A Dangerous Goods Regulations Certificate, approved by the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), will be awarded.

  • An internship at Ras Al-Khaimah International Airport, UAE, is included.
