Former GCAA – Senior Dangerous Goods Inspector
Mr. Hamid brings with him 47 years of experience working with Pakistan International Airlines,
Emirates Airline, Gulf Air with their Cargo Operations and Training & Development departments.
He also served the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) of UAE as senior AVSEC & Dangerous
Good Inspector from 2009 to 2021.
He specializes in the subjects like Dangerous Goods Regulations, Transport of Radioactive
Materials by Air, Transport of Lithium Batteries by Air, Live Animals Regulations, Cargo
Perishable Regulations, Cargo Tariff, Cargo Handling and Cargo Proration.
He was a member of IATA/FIATA Cargo Training Development Grope (IFDG) for 9 years and Vice
Chairman of IFDG from 2004-2005. He is also a Consultant to IATA and contributes in
developing Cargo Introductory, Cargo Rating and Dangerous Goods Regulations course
material. He was also involved in developing the worldwide examinations for IATA for a number
of years.
