EASA Part 21 / GCAA CAR 21

Course Objective:

This course is based on EASA Part 21 (GCAA CAR 21). It will cover EASA design approval process and conditions under which a Type Certificate, Restricted Type Certificate, a Supplemental Type Certificate and an ETSO Authorization are issued by EASA. The classification and approval of changes and repairs will be explained and under which conditions changes and repairs are approved by EASA / GCAA or by an approved Design Organization. The conditions under which GCAA shall issue Certificates of Airworthiness, Noise Certificates and Production approvals are addressed. UAE Type Acceptance, Issuance of UAE DOA & POA, and modification approvals by the GCAA will also be discussed.

GCAA CAR 21 is very similar to EASA Part 21 due to which material covered under EASA will be applicable to GCAA CAR 21

Nominated personnel and other key personnel in Part 21/ GCAA CAR 21 Production Organizations, Quality Managers/ Quality Auditors and Airline CAMO Staff.

Training Content

• The four communication skills
• CAR 21 areas specific to GCAA like UAE Type Acceptance, Issuance of UAE DOA, UAE POA and modification approval
• Foreign modification approvals acceptable to the GCAA
• Issue of Flight Permit by the GCAA.
